Our Beliefs Around DEI:
Diversity, equity, and inclusion processes are rooted in questions of ethics and values
We are deeply impacted by racism: personally, emotionally, societally, and organizationally
Efforts to move both individuals, groups and organizations forward in DEI take care, effort an investment of time and deep commitment
DEI requires a strong partnership between the CEO, HR and DEI consultants
Our Approach/Principles:
The process is co-created. Our consultants work with the clients to:
determine the actions steps.
assess what is learned from each step
and determine what shifts need to be made in terms of subsequent steps.
Both clients and consultants are on-going learners. Every person, every group and every situation are unique. Some actions will go smoothly, and many will be challenging and disruptive. We are all “works-in-progress” and will be learning along the journey.
DEI work is hard work, and it is emotional work. It takes significant amounts of energy along the way.
DEI is a long-term commitment. It will take months and years to make in-depth and permanent progress for personal, cultural, and structural change. It took hundreds of years to reach the current state. It will take multiple years to re-work our situations - and the effort is worth it.
